Extension Cord

I bet you thought some idiot wanted advise on using an extention cord on their HI-FI system. Actually, I would like to know if you could use a good heavy duty, three prong extension cord going to a PS Audio power plant since the wire running to the outlet is probably no better.

yes you can. get a yellow one with black stripes. the orange ones are less stout.
Actually, I had hoped that some idiot was asking about extension cords for stereo's so that I would not have to ask. Our "stereo" is going into a closet (except the speakers:-) and I can't swing having new lines run right now. Come on Kevperro do you make extension cords?
There are good quality, hopital grade (all Hubble outlets) extension cords and power strips, made for hospital use.

The ones I've seen are made by Wiremold (sorry, no website)
I built a four outlet box for my p300 using a short 18 inch 12 gauge power cord and soldered all the internal connections. It works very well, no difference in sound compared to plugged directly into the p300 outlet. All you need is available from a hardware store.
The Wiremold is a very good basic power strip and JPS has a very high quality unit as well.
There are several hundred miles of wire between you and the power station a few more feet won't make any difference.
Steven: The wire makes more of a difference than your posts at this site do. Get a grip/life.
