Experience with Dynamat?

For hardwood floor protection, has anyone used Dynamat instead of speaker spikes?
kidneystone
I've lined my speakers both on the inside and outside port with Dynamat. I didn't really a notice a big differnce positive or negative. I did notice a huge negative when I pulled it off and it left sticky residue on the speakers finish.

I would imagine the benefit of Spikes would be lost (placing the smallest pressure point on the floor surface) when using Dynamat since it would spread the load over a larger surface
I can't imagine how dynamat would do anything in this application. For hardwood protection (not too perverted), use coins or manufactured disks for the floors. Actually this reminds me of the time I tried to make acoustic panels to hang on my wall out of dynamat..."great" minds think alike?
