Esoteric Support - nonexistent???

I have a DV-50 remote control which has stopped working and I have tried every method listed on the Esoteric/Integra website with no luck.  The phone number just rings and rings... I sent an email literally last December with no reply.  I'm shocked at how poor this companies service has become.

Does anyone know how to get help with an Esoteric product?

I love their equipment, but c'mon guys - at least answer the phone.

End rant.

Re-viving an older thread here- I am looking for a Remote Control for my DV-50 player.

Happy Listening!

I will probably be listing an Esoteric DV50s here on Audiogon. They are very good SACD players and the CD filters do make playing older CDs worthwhile. Like all my gear, this one is well cared for. Let me know if interested?

the DV-50s or DV-60 is on my list. I would like to know where these machines can be serviced. I have heard the DV-60 but not the DV-50s spinner.  Happy Listening!
Ah jafant, another happy DV-50s owner. The SACD/DVD player is garnering a cult following.

Where did you find service and support for your Esoteric DV-50s ?

Happy Listening!

islandmandan

where did you send your DV-60 (location)?

Keep us posted on the turn-around time via Esoteric/TEAC.

Happy Listening!

Hmmm. HK fan. I just spoke with them last week (phone), and they also answered the email I sent them. I just sent my DV 60 in for service (the multi-channel went out on it).

I'll keep you posted on how things turn out. I hope you hear from them soon!

Best,
Dan
A year or so ago I sent them an email inquiring about their remastered SACD's, as expected I received no reply.

... I still haven't gotten a reply after several emails dating back to Dec 2016  I've given up ...
Why not get your dealer involved with the issue?

Lucky you.  I still haven't gotten a reply after several emails dating back to Dec 2016  I've given up.

Pathetic.
I tried calling but to no avail.  Email works.  And aplogogy from the person there.  Integra USA.
I have reached out to Teac USA to see if they can help me.

With all that said, I still would absolutely buy another Esoteric product.

Yes, the service is not the greatest, but in my experience their products don't require much of it, and the performance is world class to my ears.

Thanks for all the feedback.
As aberyclark noted, at their price point, to have to make a consumer jump through so many hoops for service is absurd.
This thread isn't the first about Esoteric and customer support.
I was considering buying an Esoteric piece but after reading the previous threads bought a Bryston unit instead.  If I am parting with thousands of dollars for a new component I would rather deal with a company with a good reputation.
I have some Esoteric gear it is newer than yours. But never had a problem getting info or service from them. Scott is the guy who always get back to me. He also does a lot of their trade shows, so if he s out of town it may take a little while until he is back in the office. Keep trying
When I needed help with my DV 60, I had to contact Teac of America. It seems the Esoteric of America only supports newer models of their product. Contact Teac of America Support, and see if this is still the case.

Good luck,
Dan
Gee for the price of their stuff one would think you could get a hold of them Maybe try to see if Teac has adifferent customer service number
Are you in the US? Did you try the Esoteric USA site? There is a support phone number listed there not sure if its the same number you tried. Good luck!
