Equitech Son of Q vs. BPT

What is the general consensus regarding using these power isolation products. Usage would be for phono amp (Aesthetix IO Signature) and preamp (Octave Jubilee) on a 20 amp dedicated circuit. I think I am sold on using these types of products for my most sensitive components and only wish to address power isolation. I use Isotek Gemini power isolation strips for all AC duties except for the amps which are plugged into the wall directly. The wall outlets are Teslaplex SE Cryo.

My goal is to ensure that I am ridding any external pollutants which may enter into the source components and also to protect from voltage spikes and noise at the same time. From what I have read, I am being swayed more to the Equitech Son of Q Sr (20amp) power isolation transformer.

Just what I came over here to ask. Great Question.

Im looking at the BPT 1 which has up to 8amps or the Son of Q 2RE which has 10 amp. the Son of Q 1RE only has 5amp so I am not sure that is enough.

But the price difference between the two is about $1K. Not sure the extra 2amps are worth it unless the Qaui-tech is that much superior.

Both products are high quality and have earned their status as premium level components and I doubt you`d go wrong with either. I`ve had the BPT BP-3.5 Signature plus for just over 4 years. It is superb and increased the sound quality across the board for all of my components(yes also the power amplifiers)dynamics are improved with the BPT in use. My unit has 20 amp capacity(probably overkill for my system).In my use I`ve found no negatives or compromised trade offs.Balanced AC power is the way to go IMO.

The current ratings of those isolation products (800VA and 1,000VA) are more than overkill for the intended use. I doubt either of those preamps draw as much as 50VA. I use DIY balanced power with my main system. Each component is fed by its own dedicated 250VA balanced isolation transformer.
