Enterprise hard drives

I'm slowing creeping toward digital on a computer. I have been thinking of buying several identical drives and burning my CD collection to one and using the other as a backup. Then selling many of the CDs that I rarely listen to and just take up physical space.

So, I've read that enterprise hard drives are more robust and have significantly longer lives. Are they worth using? Anybody here use them for music?

As a previous user of a non enterprise hard drive I would seriously consider one if you are not running a RAID setup without a backup. In fact I would consider it a must. Now if you purchase a Qnap, Synology, Buffalo Technologies etc.. external NAS with Raid then you should be okay with regular Hard drives.

YMMV
