Emerald Physics CS2.3 MkII

I had the pleasure of dropping in on Walter at RMAF 2013 and hearing both of his Emerald Physics line of speakers, the CS2.3 MkII and the CS 3.2. Both cosmetics and sound quality are greatly improved from the prototype-looking previous generations I saw and heard at RMAF 2011. They are completely ready for Prime Time. It amazes me that he's advertising the CS2.3 MkII + REL Sub and active crossover for $3800. They may not be the last word in detail but all in all they sounded a lot more like live music than the vast majority of speakers at the show, including most at twice the price and quite a few more expensive than that. The hotel room had little or no sound treatment, and he didn't have fancy components or wires, either. I say two thumbs up, a big grin, and money left in the bank to boot! I have no affiliation with Underwood HiFi.

Where's all the post RMAF buzz this year on Agon? I know the site is posting on teh show in its new hub section, but not seeing much discussed here in the forums this year compared to recent years.

Am I missing out by spending time here rather than on the big social media sites? I'm getting the feeling Agon would like us all to move to the big social media sites they use to discuss high end audio rather than here as in the past. I can understand why perhaps, but I am not a facebook or twitter kind of guy, at least not yet.
When Facebook becomes the defacto hub of the internet universe I'm running my computer over with a bulldozer.
These speakers were absolutely AMAZING for the $$. I gave them my personal "best value of show" award.
Bump. I have a current pir of KC IIs with upgraded Wire World OCC internals. Damn fine speakers>AA stereo amp> Hattor XLR (AA dac/pre comes tomorrow)> Oppo 105 with upgrade LPM and pure silver connecting wires& Furutch Rhodium IEC> Core Power 1800> dedicated 20 amp line
I did not mean to suggest I do not like the Hattor.I love the looks and sound, plus, cool design face, very high quality fit and finish.  I merely bought the dac/pre to see whether I needed to add an opamp to the Hattor in order to solve impedance mismatches from now on. Eventually I plan to replace it with a Tortuga LDR XLR, but probably not anytime soon. Honesty, it may not be THAT much better, but I am smitten by the technology and want to support such out of the box thinker designers and engineers.
