EMC 24/192 or Mark Levinson 36S DAC

I HAVE THE ML 36S DAC WITH MY SONY S7700 DVD AS TRANSPORT
I WONT A ONE BOX PLAYER WILL THE EMC 24/192 BE ENY BETTER OR
PART EXCHANGE AND GO FOR A ML 39.

I presently have a 36S.. which I really like and am contemplating upgrading it to a 360S .. the EMC 1 MKII 24/192 seems to be a fine peice but wondering iff the seperation of components (DACs away from transport) counts for something .. I always thought it did .. EMC and Capitole are a different breed.. comments anyone with similar configuartions ?
