Elite 59avi as a transport

I am currently upgrading my HT to integrate as a 2ch system. I have a Pio Elite 59avi that is awesome for DVD's but for 2ch it's not great. I would like to add an external DAC in hopes of improvement. Has anyone used this model as a transport? It was their flaghip model and the build quality is quite nice.

i have the previous (dv-10ax) with a electrocompinet dac and it is a great combination....

btw, the unit really benefits from power cord upgrade, sand box isolation (ala bright star..i use 2) and black diamond racing cones & pucks...the more isolation, the better..

also, do have to agree the build quality is exceptional....
