Electrocompaniet EMC 1UP upgrade: worthwhile?

Have you compared an earlier Electrocompaniet EMC-1UP (24/192) with the most recent version (upgraded power supply, etc.)? What were your impressions? Also, did you find the addition of the Spider Clamp to be advantageous?
