Electrocompaniet ECD-1 vs. MSB Platinum Dacs

Has anyone made a comparison of these two DACS and if so, what are your opinions?

I haven't listened to the Electrocompaniet, however I do know that it uses a Delta Sigma (averaging) DAC and that the Platinum uses a custom ladder (direct conversion) DAC. Also the Platinum has an upsampler that upsamples to an exact multiple instead of an arbitrary one (eg. 44.1 to 176.4 [4X] instead of 44.1 to 192 [4.353741496598639...X]) this usually colors the sound less and creates less digital artifacts. Just ask any DCS owner about this one (DCS makes upsamplers with changeable sampling ratios).

I have auditioned the Platinum an I think it is a wonderful DAC. The clarity, dynamic range and realism of the Platinum is, IMHO, unbeatable by any other DAC I have heard.
If the ECD-1 is exactly like the MkII DAC in the EMC-1 (as claimed, then you're in for a heavenly Redbook presentation!
