Elac s New Fela lineup
Elac Germany just built a research labs in Ca recently ,knowing Elac from past products ,
thiernew line is vastly improved ,especially the Vela line ,I just bought their 403 stand mount
their 407,409 floor standers are getting very good rave reviews . The build quality and finish is outstanding even vs speakers several times their price. I go to audio get togethers and have over 30+years as a Audiophile for one, theirNew Jet5 tweeter Amt teeeter is outstanding very open airy and smooth with a bit of runin 75-100 hours , a good AMT has 4 times the area vs a cone tweeter this is a great high frequency tweeter it betters tweeters in speakers3x the cost I like this better then BE tweeters.it is open and airy and smooth but in a 3D way which is rare.all the accordion pleats are folded by hand in a form then robots solder the membrain in place ,they now use very powerful neodymium magnets and tested to 50k kHz which confirms why it is so good
the woofer too is a new design .it has a Diamond thinAluminum woofer cone that is a sandwich design with paper anda big motor on a ridged poly structure that you can literally stand on watching a vidio on Utube ,there is up to 1/2 inch of throw for this little down firing speaker to put out in the low to mid 40 hz region is pretty amazing and beautifully finished much better finished then anything in their price class ,well above . there are many reviews online I am very. Impressed for $2500 a steal
the $3100 retail floor stand is a great buy Elac is just starting to build up a name here ,these German built speakers in the Vela line you will find outstanding. Do a little research and the many very good reviews . Just wanted to mention these very excellent products ,and excellent value for your $$.
