Dynavector Combo Upgrade Suggestion

I presently own the VPI Scoutmaster with JMW-9 Signature tonearm & SDS.

My Scoutmaster is fitted with the Dynavector DV-20X Low MC cartridge and Dynavector P-75 MKII phono pre-amp (Dr. T mode config).

What would be the next step up from the DV-20X Low / P-75 MKII combo?

Hi,

I have a Scout Signature, and I'm using the Dyna XX2MKII cart with it. Great combination. However, to get the most out of the better cartridge, you need a better phono stage. I had the Dyna P-75 MKII also, and while it sounded ok, it wasn't enough phono pre to make the difference. I then went to a Simaudio Moon LP 5.3, and had a Signature upgrade done on it, and now my Scout/XX2MKII continues to blow me away by just how good it is. Isolation is key as well. You can look at my Virtual System and see what I've done, if you like.

(Done for now, 90 degree change, 180 degree improvement).

Best of luck, enjoy,
Dan
Everything helps. Sure a better pre is better, but then again an even better pre is even better. I'd go up the Dyna line since you like that combo.
Dan, who did the upgrades to your LP 5.3 and what did the upgrades consist of?
