Don Scott tuner god

Has any one else noticed that Don Scott, his own bad self,
has three items for sale on AudiogoN. Way cool.

Don's screen name is Bdscott

Not listed, but Don probably has some brand new modified (by him) Marantz ST6000 tuners, if anyone is looking for a modern digital tuner with a remote.

He also had a Rotel RHT-10 he wanted to sell the last time I traded EMails with him.

In an Ab Sound article about 5 years ago he listed the 5
best tuners of all time. I haven't been able to get a reprint
of the article. If someone could list them here I would be
most grateful. Thanks.
This is not the same Don Scott of Scott Tuner fame, he is the one that wrote for Stereophile a while back.
MR. SCOTT WAS THE MOST INFORMATIVE PERSON I HAD COME ACROSS IN MY QUEST TO PUT TOGETHER A TUNER SET UP THAT WOULD ACCOMPLISH MY NEEDS. HE TOOK THE TIME AND HAD THE PATIENCE TO EXPLAIN HIS THOUGHTS AND WHY. HE MADE SUGGESTIONS AND INEXPENSIVE MODIFICATIONS TO MY MD-102 TUNER THAT TURNED AROUND THE PERFORMANCE OF THIS ALREADY QUALITY PRODUCT. I TOO, WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIS TOP 5 TUNER LIST.
I just wanted to add that Don Scott modified my Marantz 6000st and it was such a great experience. I highly recommend working with this guy.
Just thought I'd throw my $.02 in. I recently purchased a 1973 Kenwood KT8005 on A-gon for $65 and had it shipped directly to Don. He aligned it, upgraded several internal parts, cleaned all the connections, replaced the output jacks and the power cord with an IEC plug. Heck, he even filled in the scratches and polished to wood sides. All of this for under $250. The tuner is fantastic. For approximately $300, I feel it is the biggest bargain in my bargain seeking system. I never thought FM could sound so musical.

Through the entire process, Don communicated well and helped educate me. I could not recomend him more highly.

Regards,
Paul
