Does this exist? can Oppo build it????

Was thinking that the only thing that can beat (in convenience) my boxy PC setup would be a universal player like the 970-980 with built in HD to store, ideally, multi-channel tracks or at least 2-ch audio and DVD's PCM tracks. Anything like this out there short of a PC with DVD player and HD?
