Does External Hard Drive Cache size matter?

does cache size matter when streaming audio wirelessly? Do larger files, such as Apple Lossless benefit from the larger cache?

not really.. if you were doing video editing then these things would matter. The larger hard drives are coming with larger caches to help them with performance. 750gig drives with 16meg, 1.0TB drive has 32meg.

Larger cache on Laptop hard drives helps with reducing battery consumption. So look for 16MB cache on laptop drives!

For streaming music 5400 RPM drives would be ideal because of the less heat they generate but now you can't get any that slow these days.....
