Does anyone know of a repair service for Lamm amplifiers?

Buy two 120 to 240 step up AC transformers. No need to go inside the chassis. Put one on each amp. This will not affect sound quality.

Why not contact one of their authorized dealers for help.  My buddy has the 2.2 and the ac power is switchable from the inside.

Mr. Lamm passed away in May of this year and I do not believe he had someone in place to carry on his work, his daughter actually answered the phone and handled his communications. I do believe it is an easy process of just switching the existing wiring on the transformers from 240 to achieve the needed 120. I have a step up transformer, like new and if your in Houston you are welcome to it. Enjoy the music

Lamm is supposed to be back up and running out of Florida. Vlad’s wife, Elina, usually dealt with the phone but the daughter is now involved. I reached out to the general email box to touch base with Elina a few months after Vlad passed, but have not heard back. I suspect they have a full plate right now. There was also a tech- not sure about his skills in English but I know he worked in the bat cave when Lamm was in deep Brooklyn.

Even though Lamm provides heavy duty wooden cases for the gear, I hated the prospect of shipping--when I lived in NY, we always drove the stuff over to the Lamm "factory." @tooblue - I know zero about the wiring but your offer of the transformer is very kind.

I do have a a friend who was very close to the family- I owe him a call anyway.

PS: I just looked on the Lamm website- after Vlad passed, they put up an interim site with a sign up box for "coming soon." Now the site is fully updated and shows a 718 area code phone- which as I remember, was a Brooklyn area code.

PPS: if you go to the Lamm website and legacy products, you'll see this: "The ML1.1 works on all world AC line voltages (100/120/220/230/240V)." So it sounds like no biggie.

Just got off the website and it has totally changed sometime in the past few weeks.

It appears they are up and running and they have provided contact information including a phone number here.

I am glad they didn't go away.

I am in New Jersey and can offer repair, modification or upgrade for the Lamm. My friend is a dealer for Lamm.  Not that complicated.
