Do all normal preamps have fuses?

Hello again. Do all moder n preamps have fuses? I was thinking of changing out the fuse in my ayre k5xemp to a sr black , seeing how everyone is claiming improvements in sq. So, i opened it up to check size, but couldnt find a fuse. A transformer, and circuit board and such. Could it be under the circuit board?  Thanks!

Noromance is correct - look just below the 3 conductor pins of the power socket. Also, it’s right above the where the letters "CE" are below the power socket in the picture above.

Also, love those blue 7-segment displays on Ayre equipment!

" Could it be under the circuit board?" no

Many today have things that can look like a resistor or I’ve seen ones that are square or even round, all of these are soldered in, leave well enough alone.

Ah, didn't occur to me that it would be on the outside.  that should be an easy enough swap. George, that's good to know, i wouldn't have thunk that either. I'm greatful that you guys are here for us.

prity much everything made in the last 30 years will have fuses, fusible  links, circuit breakers, etc of some sort to meet safety standards.
