Denon AVR 4806 / or Kenwood KA 8100 question

I just pulled this out of storage and tried it in 2 channel mode with Zu Omen Mark II Speakers
Are these units compatible? 
I also have a Kenwood KA 8100 Integrated. They both sound good. The Denon is a little cleaner in sound .
Is this because Denon is newer? Opinions please.

why not listen for yourself  ?

maybe the kenwood needs to go in for service ?
