dedicated lines

What does it involve & how much is the average cost of installing a 20 amp (if possible, 80+ year old apt building) line from the circuit box. Anyone knows of an electrician in NYC qualified to do this? I bought hospital grade outlets (Hubbell) but it's too complicated for me to install on my own. Need tips!

Dedicated lines involve much nore than hospital grade outlets. Any electricion can do this upgrade for you. Costs we have seen have on other than new construction have gone from $150-$900. Unless your 80 year old building has had some electrical updates, you are probably going to also want to add a new circuit box and junk the old style fuse box. Dedictaed line/s are the most cost effective upgarde you can do, and are overlooked by 99% of most audiophiles.

I had this done last year. The istallation charge was just under 100 dollars. I live in a rural area and may be cheaper than the city.
