Based on my conversations with Lou, I agree with Dodgealum, and think that the Ulysses & DARma would be the better match for you.

Lou's speakers are "musical," period. After that, it comes down to which model is the better match for you.

Keep us posted, if you move forward and audition.

Some changes have taken place in the past 3 years (what a surprise.)

SPEAKERS: I still have the DA-1's...though planning to replace with DA-1.1
CDP: Still with the Electro
PRE: VAC Renaissance Mk II
AMP: VAC 300.1
CABLES: Kubala-Sosna...been upgrading within the line...now a mix of Expression and Emotion.

Still a wonderfly musical system...now all tubes and a few notches better.

...kept the H2O amps for a 2nd system that has not taken place...any buyers?

Ok, enough silliness...upgrade from The Classic DA-1 will take place once we finalize the interior decor plan...it's a WAF kinda thang.

What is your budget for the int amp?

I have not heard all of the amps in your list. However, based on my experience, I'd suspect that you could be very pleased matching your Daedalus speaks with the Moscode power amp or the LSA integrated.

Both of these have been on my short list at one time or another.

Of course, there are other synergy factors that will play into this (front end, cables, preamp, etc.)

I have read about the nice match up of Modwright's new SS power amp with Daedalus speakers. I'd really like to hear how tube amp fans feel about this amp with Daedalus. Does the combo have the "magic" of tubes, or is it still an SS sound?
