I'm trying to locate a stand-alone DAC that I can drive a balanced connection in another room. Something like the BelCanto DAC2 but with balanced outputs, same price range, left on all the time. Any suggestions?
Look for a balanced Timbre TT1 Dac. It has a variety of inputs including toslink and balanced outs. It also sounds great, has tremendous build quality and can be found used for $7-900 fairly easily.
