Enleum is already out. My buddy has his hooked up to the Fleetwood Deville's and is loving it.
SIT-1 Mono’s are supposedly superior to the Sit-3 on these speakers. I have both so look forward to seeing for myself down the road. There are numerous YOUTUBE Videos featuring these speakers and Flea Watt Amps from Tsakiridis,Tektron and other Foreign tube amp manufacturers...dont think any of these marvelous sounding amps cost more than 2-3K. DECWARE might be a USA alternative although they dont have any 2A3 amps which sound awesome on these.
Would love to try a Bakoon for my Nenuphars but cant find any dealers selling for much less than MSRP.  Every other brand Im interested in I can get at least 20% off. Its a pity
Not sure that's going to effect too many people. Multiply by 10 to get your number.  REF 10 by Audio Research comes in about 60% of the Input Limit.  The Luxman C900 comes in at 10%. I'd love to see a list of how many amps would go over that 10K figure....maybe some Boutique stuff.
Thanks Al.  I should have paid more attention in school :)  Somebody gave me that formula and told me the REF 10 and Bakoon would be fine. Thanks for stopping me from blowing up my gear!! LOL
Diablo 300 is a Darkish sounding amp....I guess as long as you like that kind of presentation. Have ordered a pair of the Mini Nenuphar's but they wont arrive till the Fall. Completely sold out of everything except 1 pair of the Magnus is available from the distributor according to my dealer
Related to the cabs...the finish anyway...they are going to start offering multiple Wood Veneer finishes you can choose instead of just the Black/White option. Im looking forward to seeing those designs.
My 2 Cents on Bakoon has nothing to do with performance. Their is no dealer network to speak of so you have to pay Full MSRP or VERY close to it. Re-sale value (supply/demand) is horrible based on past "attempted" sales.  The guy in AZ who I think is the importer is a total RICHARD in my book.  So if you look at your audio gear as an "investment" and you dont want to get killed when you eventually flip it the Bakoon is dead in the water.  PASS Labs you can buy new with a 20-30% discount if you know what your doing and you MIGHT lose 10-15% when you ditch it which is acceptable.  50% Loss or more is not.

AG3,

Not to derail the thread BUT this must be said. If your paying 80% of MSRP for used gear REGARDLESS of what the brand is your being taken for a ride.  I always get at least 20-30% off of MSRP for NEW Gear....used gear you should never pay more than 60% of MSRP or thereabouts. If you are you need to make better connections.  I recently ordered a pair of the MINI NENUPHAR (8 inch) and not only did I get 20% off BUT they are painting it in a Custom Color for me with no upcharge.  I dont see any Bakoon models here on Audiogon BLUE book or all the completed sales on HIFISHARK.com showing people paying 80% of MSRP for Used Bakoon gear.  If you can show me actual SALES (Not asking price) of this happening somewhere please send me a PM with details. I'd love to see it. I need to sell my gear to THOSE people!!

Toetap,

No idea how things work in the UK but I have MANY dealer contacts and here in the USA its almost universally a 40% profit margin at FULL MSRP on almost all brands and you get your Demo gear at a 50% discount.

Mine are on order. I mainly listen to Classic Rock and investigated these before purchasing. I was assured there wouldnt be any issues by multiple people. Im not a Bass Head so Im not looking for that in a speaker.  Dont know TOOL's music but its probably MUCH more bombastic than what I listen to. I'll be sure to let people know down the road what I think of them with my music/room/amp choices etc  Ive got at least a dozen amps so something has to work!!
Ricardo,  Your room may be too small for the "10" Nenuphar BECAUSE of the Bass. My room is similar size as yours and I was told to get the Nenuphar Mini's which have the "8".
Vinpic,  Just a Heads up concerning Valvet. Some prefer the Original 2 over the SE model. Original is suppose to be sweeter. I probably made a mistake myself ditching the 1st one before listening to it to get the upgrade. The SE will run you around 4K...you can get the regular used for about 1200.  Just something to consider and potentially save some dough
Great info Jolly.  Ive dealt with Audio Arts in NYC (Thoress dealer) before and Gideon is a pleasure to do business with. I might just have to inquire about the F2A11 or 845 Thoress Integrateds.....not a 300B kind of guy.

I saw that Cube Audio has used Tektron amps at shows in the past. My problem with Tektron isnt the sound but the top plate on their amps starts pitting over time. Some call it Patina....I call it Rust Spots which is really ugly IMO.  They need to fix that before I will purchase one.

My buddy just ditched the Higher Enleum (53??) because he preferred both the Luxman 595 and Valvet E3 SE in his setup.

He definitely had the Enleum...not the Bakoon. Guess it was the 23. His speakers are AG Duo’s and Fleetwood Deville. Obviously different results with different speakers so take it for what its worth. The Valvet is about Half the price of the Enleum but you cant use it as a space heater or fry an egg on it so it does have some disadvantages

I definitely prefer the V2 for the extended highs over the Original but not sure my room can handle the extra bass.  Maybe I will have to wait for the V3 which has the extended highs but not the bass bump  :)

Anybody that follows HUFF knows whatever he currently has is the Best he’s ever had and doesnt feel the need to ever change anything...then does 3-4 weeks later. Guessing he sold the ROSSI when he moved and needed to raise cash. Dont think ANYBODY believes the INT 25 is better than the VR....including Huff. Guarantee he didnt do any Tube Swapping either to enhance the performance even more.
Should have my Blue Nenuphar Mini’s by the end of the month.
Where are you getting this price on the Nenuphar's? MSRP??  I got mine in the "8's with a Custom Paint Job to boot.

Have you actually heard this "magic speaker" you have concocted above?? Didnt think so....All Theory with no actual experience. Not to mention it would be as ugly as hell even if it did work.
Cant believe the dealer didnt have the Nenuphar’s hooked up to Tube Gear. Thats what is ALWAYS used at the trade shows. If he had Pass/First Watt gear around surprised he didnt use any of the SIT’s instead of the XA25. (I have Sit-1, Sit-3 and XA25)
I was told by my dealer that I couldnt use the regular size Nenuphar’s in my room because there would be too much bass. Had to get the Mini’s instead.
Havent even got them yet. Suppose to arrive end of May. I sent an email to the Dealer last week to see where the heck they are....he contacted the distributor...they havent even been shipped yet. SUPPOSEDLY they will be making 2 shipments to the distributor in the next 2 weeks and mine SHOULD be in there.  Not holding my breath....its been a 9 month ordeal since this started. What a way to run a business!!  I would tell anybody NOT to order a custom color or wood finish. Just accept Black or White otherwise you'll be in Speaker Purgatory.  They wont be hooked up anytime soon after I get them so ask me in 2022  :)
I wouldnt recommend Tektron Amps as the Top of the Amps PIT and Tarnish after a short while.  They are changing this summer to what appears to be something like a Chrome top. Have no idea if those will Patina with age as well. I'd avoid em if you care about long term cosmetics or being able to resell them down the road.
Why not try a Townshend Platform instead of Gaia or similar products. Suppose to be better for optimal performance.
I clearly hear a difference in the V1 and V2's in the extended highs. Just listen to the last song they provide (Knopfler) and wait for the Guitar solo near the end. It wails on the V2 compared to the V1. (I am an owner of the V1 so Im voting against myself)

Good to know the Raven works well. Ive got a Reflection MK2 laying around. Im sure its not as good as the Mono's but as long as its in the ballpark.
