The masterlink works. You might also want to look at one of the newer USB and firewire 24-bit sound cards. Of course, you already need to have a phonostage. If not, look for an all-in-one solution like this.

Converting LP's and other analog media to CD's
I know this discussion might have been started before, but still. I have started to think about converting my analog to CD's. I have done some research and have come across the Alesis Masterlink 9600 modified by BPT and a few others as well. I have read the review in stereophile as well.
I am now thinking of getting that BPT modified version, but before I do that I would like to know if there is a way to upgrade the stock ADC and who does that.
Please share you experiences, methods and best practices.
