Conrad Johnson E.T. 7 series 2

I was hoping to hear from a few owners who are familiar with the Conrad Johnson ET 7 series 2 preamp. From what I’ve read, the difference from the series one to the series two is significant. I was thinking about getting one and would like to know what you think about it. Also, which preamp did it replace in your system. One of the most important attributes I look for in a preamp is accurate timber and tonal color. I also want the usual suspects such as slam and transparency and soundstage but the tonal color is most important to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
