cleaning contacts with caig pro gold

I am going to clean all of my contacts during my time off for christmas vacation. I was wondering what is the best kind to use. You can get it in a spray bottle or you can get it with a brush applicator. I will be cleaning interconnects power cables and rca inputs. Any suggestions would be helpful, as I have not cleaned my contacts in a few years. I am hoping that by doing this I will get improved sound, thanks
