Remember Ebass Routes Lfe to the Mains AND the SUB So it might be a cancellation. No PEQ = check the Checkbox Group enable and the front LR and Sub Groups just to be safe Under Controls Disable The Tone Controls Just so we can eliminate a second system issue Take a second config (Config 2)... set front LR to FULL Assign a source 2 channel audio.. see if the midbass is there Just by process of elimination, then switch over to config 1, turn Ebass off 60, We can take a blank memory stick back the config and reset the prepro (menu 1 2 3) on the remote.. and then see if its something in your config... I suggest its cancellation... And I take it you checked set and measured delays Notes Config 2 Set everything to off, the mains to full And See what you get with a 2ch source set Just to eliminate other system issues, I have 0 LFE issues Snell Xa90PS powered by citadel 1.5s(balanced) SVS PB13 If you PM me I can try and walk you thru it. |

Citadel 1.5s for the front left and right, running balanced, using a proceed amp5 for my center, surround channels And my 2ch config is full range under configuration 2 no other speakers enabled My multi channel config Mains cross at 40hz -3db at 35 Svs crossed.at 40 Group and eq measured with roomeq wizard Delays were tape measured My mains have active subs, so my config is unique and no lack of clean low bass in either config What do you your rew plots look like and spl readings 75db weighting type c |
#1 Tbh Give ed a call, or me as well and we can check everything.. which SVS...as they are monsters..as far SVS config, and did you use an SPL meter to set the SVS up, I ended up using hot gain and adjusting my sub level with the SSP... I have FULL Range Mains, and still keep ebass off and cross as low as possible to them. #1 MAKE SURE You set the delay settings with a tape measure (These are off the top of my head but) Well for my mains, Crossing over at 40hz, Center, Surrounds at 60, 12db per octave not 24db Per octave Start with no mains, use REW and a microphone and get a sweep of your room... be sure to set the subwoofer delay first..(with a tape measure)... I would gladly Demo in Naples Fl, no lack of low bass in my room at all. I will be around today, we can go thru it. |

Center, surrounds at 60, 12db per octave Oh and the test tones on the SSP are relative to the volume you have on the processor, you will want to be at 00 for level matching. |
Then lets make sure the source is actually outputting 5.1 or 7.1 without downmixing, the processor does say 5.2.1 correct Dolby Digital or Truehd.... Not Pcm and the mode is set to discrete right. What is the source feeding the system for movies and is it over optical, hdmi, coax, and is it set to bitstream out ? |

I am in the same spot with my Ultra 13 have to make corrections, You will need a tripod and a good measurement microphone(About $100) or Radio Shack spl meter and Run an hdmi from your laptop, Get 00 measurements to measure an chirp with the SB, and a response chart, it will go thru a level calibration chart, And your microphone will come with calibration files for Roomeq wizard or a download for them(use them)... the .cal files) Based on the impluse response sweep you can set the parametric EQ poiints in the SSP, and I would correct highest peaks, not heavyhanded... In my config I don’t need a sub for music only for movies, you can run ssp configs for music and for movies and assign inputs to configs |
