Cerious Technologies NEW Graphene Cables

Now, this is not a advertisement, just a posting sharing my experience on some well made great sounding cables at a very reasonable price. Besides, I don't think Cerious Technologies is set up for a big influx of cable orders.

But, if you get the chance to try these cables, please do.

I have been interested in the newer cables coming out that are using Graphene as a conductor. SR cables seemed interesting, but I always hated the way there cables had all those extra wires (with the active shields and such). I then noticed an ad early in I think November or December from Cerious Technologies for Graphene cables. I investigated how the cables were assembled and it seemed like quite a laborious process.

I ordered (with a 30 day money back guarantee) the balanced Graphene interconnects, and boy did they impress me. Such depth, soundstage, realism, frequency smoothness, effortless sound. I was truly impressed!  I now have a complete loom of the Cerious Technologies Graphene cables. That is; interconnects, speaker cables, digital cables and power cords.

I ended up selling all of my other cables and to those of you who have read my postings know that cables have always been my curiosity.

So, as I began this post, let me again iterate, I have no alliance to the company, my posting is for those of you looking for an great alternate high quality Graphene made cable without spending a fortune.

Ozzy,

how does the Cerious power cords stack up against the Mad Scientist PC? I remember your review of the NEO was quite enthusiastic.

Lance

My Cerious Technologies Graphene Extreme PC LC Just came today I have it on my DS DAC running now. This power cord sounds very good right out of the gate. It sounds better than the lessloss signature it replaces and at a far lower cost.

Does anyone have any experience with breakin? What should I expect?

Lance
Bob did eventually return my email. I asked if I could call him and he told me email is best. After purchasing a power cord I quickly decided to make another order and am still waiting for another cord and interconnects. Getting in touch with Bob to place my order was a bit of a hassle but worth it. I've waited seven weeks for a pair of speakers to be built. I love the small boutique companies and American made to boot.

I got my cables from Bob and so far I am very impressed, no, blown away. I'm selling off a lot of my old cables to make room. I now have the power cords and balanced interconnects. These produce the most natural sound I've experienced. Please let us know how the speaker cables perform for those who have them. I'm wondering if they outperform my Synergistic Element Tungston speaker cables? These cables sound way above their $$$.

Well I just sold off my lessloss DFPC power cords. The Cerious low power cords are just way better. Now I'm considering selling my audioquest Sky XLR's. Oh boy did they cost a lot. Cerious XLR are just better.
I must agree with Bob, he has been wonderful to me and more importantly makes a wonderful product. I guess we live in an age of instant gratification. Some things are worth the wait.

He didn't answer when I called last time and he says he'd prefer not to talk on the phone. Hey, who can talk on the phone all day.... The man has cables to make.

my best response was when I contacted him through Audiogon. he will eventually will get back to you and you will be very happy with his cables.
I would like to try out Bobs speaker cables. Does anyone know how they would compare to my current Synergistic Research Element Tungston speaker cables. I'm wondering if the CT will outperform the SR cables.
I have found the power cords and interconnects to perform way above their price point comparatively speaking. The speaker cables will be next.
In my business, I already am saddled with a large enough payroll as it is. I don't blame Bob if he doesn't want to grow any bigger than a one man operation and have all of the headaches that go with it. It seems no matter how much you grow, you will still not please everyone and I tell some customers there are other choices in the marketplace for them to choose from. Bob is very honest, he has stated how his operation works. Rather than calling Bob disrespectful perhaps another cable manufacturer will fill ones immediate needs. I hear they're cranking em out in China.
It took me about 10 years of working up to 18 hour days to get my business to where it is and I'm now where I want to be.

i think Bob is where he wants to be now.
Good idea. Has anyone used the "blue cable" for their power conditioner? Or is there another higher current version I don't know about? I have a P10 I'm considering a cable for.
Any reports on the yellow or blue PC's. I'm looking to try one on my P10 regenerator.
I have ordered the speaker cables and when they arrive I will compare them to my Morrow Reference Elite cables. I will be happy if they're are even close to the multi thousand dollar Morrows.

The CT speaker cables are now in my system. I will give them some time to settle in but right away, they are better than my Synergistic Research Element Tungsten cables and right up there with my Morrows. Let's see what a couple of days does.
Ozzy, I have the Morrow Grand Elite Reference speaker cables, $3995 list price. The CT cables are better and still not broken in yet. It seems the tonal balance is more correct.
It seems I have uncovered more bass using the CT speaker cables. Has anyone else noticed this? How is this? I had undiscovered bass?

Has anyone tried either the blue or yellow PC on the PS Audio P10 power plant? Bob says because of the varying wave forms it's tough to design a PC for.

Again, the speaker cables, I can't get over the difference. It is astonishing. It seems my previous, very expensive cables were holding back the bass. I now have had to make adjustments because the bass was overloading the room.

I own the TWL 7 PC. It's very good. So far I have only tried the CT red and it's better on my DAC than the TWL 7 but I think the 7 is better suited for a power amp. I will order the blue PC eventually.

Ha ha, if you're really not sure about these cables stay away from them. There are a lot of other cables out there and I wont have to wait as long on my next order.

I have ordered the blue PC and 2 pairs RCA interconnects. I will be able to compare the CT interconnects to the Morrow Grand Elite Reference interconnects that I have. The CT speaker cables blew away the very expensive Morrows.
I'm very happy with all of the CT cables I've bought. If anyone isn't sure, and wants to do some more research before jumping on Bobs band wagon, all of my Morrow cables are up for sale.
I had the Triode Wire Labs American speaker cables and can safely say that the CT SC's are light years ahead in SQ. Nothing against TWL but just can't keep up with CT.
benlzy, the speaker cables made the biggest difference. After some break-in of course, the first obvious change, I noticed more, deeper, tighter bass. It left me scratching my head. I know the cables can't create more bass but instead they revealed what my amp could pull out of my speakers.

After trying many different cables, some very expensive, I feel with the CT there is a more realistic sound or perhaps less coloration. The sound stage is bigger and deeper and none of these changes are subtle. Most importantly I am enjoying the music more.

Bob,

just out of curiosity, do you think cryogenic treatment would have any positive effects?

I don't care If there's peanut butter and jelly inside the cables, they sound freaking awesome.

I too had a problem. I squeezed a power cable and once again peanut butter and jelly came out. I couldn't help my self. I had to taste it.... It was delicious. It was worth the electrocution I endured. I will order more of these delicious cables.

I doubt we will see any of his pictures. You know because of his state of electrocution and all.
I have tried a few speaker cables including Audioquest type 4, JW Audio, Decware, Synergistic Research Element, Clear Day cables and the most expensive I've ever bought at 4K Morrow Grand Reference Elite. The CT cables were better than all of these cables by a long shot.

It is my opinion that these CT cables are the best I've heard. What I've noticed is that I have stopped looking at Audiogon ads for cables or looking for cable reviews to read. Something now seems missing in my life. I really enjoyed the goose chase and that next cable fix.
A layman speaking here. I'm not concerned with the scientific jibber jabber. I know the impact these cables have made in my system and my ears are very happy. I also like Bob. He is a classy guy.

Calloway,
well said, I couldn't agree more . I purchased another set of speaker cables and interconnects today. Time to recable a second system.

I too get tired of the trolling. I would love it if ptss would share his audio system with us. I see nothing on his page. Mom won't let you have a big boy stereo in the basement? Perhaps he can share a bio since he tries to sound intelligent. Perhaps he is, In the words of the immortal Root Boy Slim "an educated fool"

I agree with mac48025. I just got a another pair of the speaker cables for a second system and I love what I hear. The best cables in my system ever and I've tried a few. I don't care if the cables are made of fairy dust although some people will want to debate the exact composition of that dust and then present alternative facts.

why is it the only complaints about these cables come from a very few who have never heard them?
As soon as I get a good burn-in on the Modwright umbilicle that Bob made me I will report back.
Just just a quick report. @wig  told me I would be amazed at the CT GE umbilicle cord for my Modwright Oppo 205 and he was right. Bob did it again. This sweet cable is refined and improves the already excellent sound im getting with my 205, AHB2 and Double Impacts.
Same here, I have to agree with @ozzy and @debjit_g , the best speaker cables I have heard, including a 4K pair.
@blindjim ,

you will not regret the decision to try the Matrix line. Let us know what you think.

Good news! I have burning-in a set of Bob Grost (Cerious Technologies) cables. This is Bob’s latest iteration of Graphene cables and supersedes the wonderful sounding Graphene Matriix line. He is using silver conductor as the backbone and adding graphene. I have speaker, interconnect and power cables. Once they are burned-in properly I will pull them out and insert them one at a time to try and determine which cables are making the biggest impact.

The new line is called “Lumniscate”. After installation I left for a couple hours and when I returned I couldn’t believe the immediate impact of what I was hearing. This will take some time to properly evaluate. More to come.
