CD/SACD/DVDa player for new system

Well we've been hauling around several boxes of vinyl for 20+ years. The kids really love music and I thought it would be fun to pull out the old records and the B&O RX turntable (20 years old too) for the kiddies. Well, the Bose 321 GX has no phono stage. Bought a Parasound for that, and have since decided that we just don't have enough music in our lives. So I have now purchased an Onkyo A9555S integrated and two Infinity Primus 162 bookshelf speakers. I'd like to be able to play some CDs/SACDs/DVDas but have no idea what player to get. Very limited funds so I could scrape together maybe $500 before I get in too much trouble. Would be nice if we could use it for DVDs by hooking it up to a reasonably ok 400 dpi Infocus projector but I'm ok with getting a separate DVD player (like an OPPO).

Just hoping some of you audiophile braniacs can help me attach logical things to my new integrated amp. It will help me to stop obsessing and start listening. We listen to rock, folk, some but not much classical. I like warm music that isn't too bright.

Thanks so much for any advice you can offer!

Thank you all so much! All of your responses are very helpful. I guess I'm just getting overwhelmed with all the options I've been learning about.
Aacck! I just bought a used Denon 2910 off ebay for $245 (incl. shipping) - trying to end the obsession so I can go on to obsess about other things. If this goes south I'll try the Oppo.

How about advice on a tuner since I have a little money left to play with?
Thanks Rueben! I actually looked at the Tivolis today but wasn't sure how to make the attachments. You have clarified that for me and I appreciate it. Odd school works for me.

Also, thanks to all for your help. You are all generous with your time and advice. I can't wait until I get it all hooked together and turn it on.
Hi all,

Well, I'm sitting here listening to my new system - Onkyo 9555 int. amp; Denon 2910 CD/DVD; Infinity Primus 162s. It sounds better than any system I've had in my life. My husband, who previously had no interest in my current obsession, has been listening non stop. My 8 year old son played the Beatles for about 3 hours last night.

Thanks to all for your great help. For those of you whose advice I did not take, I'll save your comments for the next system!
