CD's no longer supported ?

I have heard , a couple of times now , that the major music producers will stop supporting CD's starting next year ! This is coming from the financial world .

Has anyone else heard this ? What exactly does it mean ?

Once no , twice maybe .
This was on a national tv program , that has a large following with nothing to gain from this .

Do you have info to the contrary ?

Please don't get me wrong . I am not trying to defend anyone . And I certainly don't want this to be true as CD's are my main source !

Just trying to find out if anyone has any insider info on this . From time to time insider info has been talked about here .
