CAT Pre seeking Opinion

I just brought a CAT Ultimate pre and is now seeking for a power amp to go along. At the moment, this are the few I have in mind : Jeff Rowland Model 10, Casse CA400, Krell KFA300. Opinion and contribution appreciated. BTW, what pre tubes would you suggest.

Thanks Guys for all your opinions. Have listen to a few and decided to settle for Jeff Rowland Model 10.
Without knowing what speakers you have it's difficult to say. I have Wilson 5.1's, a CAT Ultimate and a Levinson 335. This combo is wonderful. But, my speakers are a difficult load and are more Row "A" in tonal balance. The Levinson is a bit laid back and has the juice to drive the speakers with ease. Hence, a great match.

If you are considering tubes CAT makes two amps.
Add Symphonic Line amps to yr list if you can: very good synergy (apparently, Ken, the CAT manufacturer uses these too). Also sounded good (liquid, soft--mellifluous) w/ a Rowland, don't remember which model sorry. Accuphase 50's also sounded beautiful.
Finally, sounds excellent --to my ears-- with a Symphonic Line Kraft 250 (that's my set-up). Haven't tried Krell or Classe...
CAT also make their own pwr amp (tube)... maybe worth a try? Good luck!
Thank you guys for your suggestions. Will eventually go around to audit those amps...just that there are too many power amps around and its tough to listen to all.

Respectfully disagree about the Krell FPB series. They have never sounded that good to my ear. I think the best advice was given earlier and that was to go listen for yourself. If you can, listen to the Pass X series as well (not the X150).
I am using my CAT Ultimate with Krell fpb600C...excellent..I was very inclined to sell my CAT when I auditioned the Krell KCT preamp,(KCT has much more convenient features), but after extended comparison.. the CAT was better in every respect....it also matches the Krell beautifully..
I have a cat (pause to reflect). I'll ask her what she thinks and get back with you. Definitely Friday :^)
Huh?
A dog in a cat?
A mouse in Friday mood.
A smiley that leads one no where.
No thanks, Marakanetz ;-(

Now Lawrence, back to your posts...
I would suggest you do separate auditions with those amps you have mentioned.
As you know, it is a highly subjective hobby which we have gottened ourselves into.
So go and try it out even though I would vote for the model 10 - if you would to ask me.
