A fellow audiophile I communicate with who owned the Cary SLP 05 (which he loved) and loves Cary gear in general, also had the SLP 03 for a while. In fact this fellow has owned plenty of high end gear. His feedback on the 03 was that its performance is not up to Cary standards and not very good at all (to put it politely). I own and love the Cary SLP 05.

Anybody who might have had compare them and would care to
express an opinion on this topic? I'm looking for richness and fullness in low midrange/bass.
They seem to be both in very close price range used, both have balanced circuits. Both require external phono stage.
