That’s a very unusual result - just not possible if you are using the protractor correctly. I’m guessing you have the stylus on the example with the check mark next to it. You should be using the blank parallel lines above the example.
Cartridge Alignment On Rega RP8
Has anyone else experienced the same issue I have with my RP8 tonearm and cartridge mounting? I recently checked the cartridge alignment using the protractor provided by Rega and discovered that in order for the front of my Hana cartridge to match the alignment printed on the protractor tool it was necessary for me to completely remove one of the cartridge mounting screws and pivot the cartridge on the single outside mounting point.
