Can you view photos direct from iphone5 to OPPO 83

Tried to view photo slide show from my iphone5 thru my OPPO83se direct via usb cable, but no luck. Photos on thumb drive seem to be no problem any sugestions or can someone tell me what I am doing wrong.Is this possible?
