can the Behringer have multiple settings?

If Classical and better recorded music sounds good on my pretty revealing speakers (VMPS FF3 SRE) can the Behringer have multiple settings for music such as Rock that is more often then not poor sounding?
So to sum up, can there be several or even just a couple of memory settings that may be a general help with Rock and Pop music and others or even a defeat for good recordings? Thanks Chad

Do you have some examples of specific rock tracks that sound bad? Can you describe the poor sounding problem (with Rock)?
Well first thanks for the info, music like Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Lenny Kravitz, Nirvana.....in general they use alot of distortion wich on my system is very revealing and I just wish I could smooth those out but still be able to enjoy good recordings with no correction, Classical rarely gives me any problems.
I understand what you mean ...

Red Hot Chilli Peppers Californication album has evidence of severe soft limiting everywhere. Stadium Arcadium is bad too.

Lenny Kravitz certainly likes to use distortion for effect....his version of American Woman being an obvious example.

Nirvanna...needs no comment at all

In all these cases the distortion is rather deliberate. There is not much that can be done because the undistorted sound never left the mastering studio. The music was deliberately clipped and this changes the timbre of the sound. The process is called soft limiting and it creates the artificial impression of increased loudness to the ears....an edgy, rough and often irritating sound. The transients and dynamic content of the original music have been lost...

Since this is not a balance or an EQ issue it simply can't be repaired without the original studio recordings. I seriously doubt whether any EQ can do all that much to help.

You could try playing with Adobe Audition "Clip Restoration" tool but it is probably not worth all the trouble as you are unlikely to be able to faithfully re-create all that has been lost (once a transient is clipped it is gone and the software is left to guess what transients have been lost).
hey Shadrone thanks for the info, I wonder if it is ever possible to have the best of both worlds, like a good revealing speaker that is not too ruthles, or the associated electronics to get to some happy medium, I suppose though that my fixed income will never allow me to find out.
