Can I use an MIT digital for LFE on sub?

I have an extra MIT digital Reference 1 interconnect and am interested in trying it with my new sub as it wouls save me buying another mono cable. Can this be done safely and will it work for the low level LFE in on my subwoofer? Thanks!

Dear Jim,

Strongly discouraged. An rca/rca digital cable does not have the same internal impedance as an audio interconnect, but worse, the cable is designed to have great response in the Megahertz region and NO attention is paid to its bass response.

You'd be much better off with a (gasp) cheap Rat Shack AUDIO cable.

Best of luck,
Joe
Thanks, I'll just get the mono bass cable from MIT, I appreciate your advice! Thanks.
