Cambridge Audio CXC Transport Question

I had an older Sony CD/DVD player that I was using as a transport and I demoed a CXC and didnt really get a noticeable bump in SQ so I just kept the Sony.   But about a year later the Sony crapped out.  So I purchased a Bryston BOT-1 transport to match up with my BDP Pi (play & burn) and that fckn thing now has problem and just got sent back to Bryston last week.  Grrrr :/

When and if it does stop working, get an Audiolab.

Of course there is no way to tell but to try, but I would not spend $600 on a CXC to find out.  Supposedly the transports in the CXC and the 651 are substantially similar, so I would doubt it.  But if you can score a refurbished unit on Ebay for $300 or so, I think it might be worth buying to fool around with.  Up to you.
