Cable synergy applicable to digital IC too?

I don't have a lot of experience with cables, but have done some research and I'm aware many people talk about cable synergies within the system: the more cables of similar technology one uses, the better. Nordost also recommends the same thing.

So I have Purist Audio Museaus analog ICs and speaker cables. Now I need to get a digital cable (coax), and I'm wondering if the synergy paradigm applies there too. I was looking at PAD Genesis coax, that has true 75 ohm RCAs, but was wondering if I should look elsewhere too. Your thoughts?

Coax cable is to be used between SB Touch and Metrum Octave DAC.
I'm overseas so unfortunately cannot use The Cable Co lending library.

Thanks!
