Building a tweeter

Hello,

I want to build a high power tweeter for technical use (producing high frequency strong standing acoustic waves).
Seen this speaker from Aliexpress:

So my question is it enough just to locate it in front panel of a plywood box or i need a horn to use it?

Hey OP,

You may want to bring your question over to DIYaudio where you'll find lots of advanced experimenters there, but since this is a car part, it's safe to say it does not require a horn.

It's a closed back horn loaded bullet style tweeter.

If you don't need the "box" for other drivers you can just mount it on a small board.

Look up pics of Fostex bullet tweeters and you should come across some examples.
