Currently have the Bryston BP6 partnered with a Bryston 4B SST2 and using a Bryston BCD-1 CD Player. It's a great combo, but with computer audio on the horizon I want to have more flexibility with an outboard DAC.
Do you think the move to the Benchmark HDR would more of a parallel move from a preamp standpoint? Don't have any local dealers to demo the Benchmark.
I owned a BP-26 for several years (used with Bryston 7B SST amps and then active speakers). I also own a DAC1. If I were using an analog preamp today it would be the Benchmark DAC1 HDR without a doubt.
