Mofimadness is correct. An outboard phono stage is no different than any other line level source. Hook it up to anything but the phono input. As for the new cart. goes, they should include the setup specs in the manual. I would just go with whatever they recommend.
Best way to connect phono stage to int amp?
I have a musical fidelity 3.2 int amp. It has a built in phono stage. I purchased a Jolida phono stage as an upgrade. It hasnt been delivered yet. Do I hook it up to the phono input or the aux input? Im using a Ortofon Blue 2m cartridge, what is the best setting for the Jolida pre? Thanks in advance for your comments.
