Best wall mountable center channel speaker?

Hello,

I have some Von Schweikert 4Srs which I really like and may want to replace my center channel cinema. I need something that can be mounted or at least put on a reasonable size shelf. The VS Visiun is a great center but not something you'd want to mount on your wall. Any recommendations on something with some real umph to it that is clear, accurate and doesn't weigh more than a TV?

Some companies are taking speakers like the LCR4 and cutting it in half for depth but doubling the length so it has the same internal volume for sound. I'm sure they make other adjustments. If VS had something like that, I'd be interested.

Thanks. I have the ML center now. I was considering upgrading to something better if there was something better to be had that is wall mountable.

There's a Martin Logan Motif but it's expensive at $1895. Saw it on Audio Advisor. I would check Audio Advisor. They seem to have a lot.

Marton Logan makes some wall mount center channels. Not sure how good they are or how far up the line they go.

Yeah the LCR-4 is still pretty big and heavy. That's why I went with the Unifield center. It is the same size and weight as a single Unifield 1 speaker. You might want to take a closer look at that. I can give more details or you could e-mail them. I agree that trying to integrate a center channel speaker with a large flat screen TV is a challenge.

Thanks the LCR-4 is a tad deep. I was hoping for something designed to be wall mounted as it would have to be above my screen.

I love my VS 4SRs but VS just doesn't have anything practical for my screen environment.

Have you looked at the other Von Scweikert centers: LCR-4 and the Unifield center? I have the latter on top of my cabinet under the TV, with VR-33s for main speakers, and it matches well. It is like a Unifield 1 on its side - same size and weight - much smaller than the Visiun (though it doesn't seem to be on their web site).
