thanks for the post, I respect Fred's taste. I have Whirl and Jasmine on my list.
Charles Lloyd Quartet "Mirror" is up there. Also a few interesting off-track efforts like David S. Ware "Onecept" and Nels Cline "Dirty Baby."
Richard Doron Johnson's "Battle Grounds" on Steeplechase. His debut as a leader. Phenominally good record.
