Best integrated amp for Marten Miles 5

Hi,

i am goint to change my MA2275 for a solid state. I really do not know wich one match better with my speakers. The source is a Linn Klimax DS/1 the room is 25m 2 and the wires are Hi Diamond 8.The candidates are:

Gryphon Diablo 300
Pass INT 250 or INT 60
Vitus Ri 100

any experinece with Martens or advice?

thanks in advance
ansibron
All the choices on your short list would definately be a major step forward imo as i dont care for Mac at all and ive owned to many to talk about. Having said that I also agree and recommend tubes with your speakers
Ansibron, if you don’t need a inboard DAC or a phonostage then definitely try to audition Analogue Audio Maestro Anniversary integrated. Even though I have separates, I got one a few months ago and it is amazing. Still can’t believe my ears. With your speakers should sound excellent.
In the end i trie at home Gryphon Diablo 300, Vitus Ri-100, Vtl, and Analog Domain wich was definitively superior in all aspects. It was so for me and the rest of people we were....i am a very happy man. Analog Domain ISIS is another league.
Finding a used Dartzeel 8550 is exactly what I would do. Extremely musical with loads of detail and no brightness to be found. Built to last forever. Just another opinion. Not cheap but you’d be set for years.
Would recommend pairing with the EAR890 or the EAR834 for the integrated route. I am pairing the 890 with the Bird 2's.

Thanks for the answers!

Another possible combination in my mind is to attack directly from the Klimax source to a good amp. VTL S200 Signature. It is in that range of price and it is pure valves! Have any of you experience Marten with Vtl?
I forgot to mention that I heard Martens paired with an ASR integrated at an audio show last year and that combination sounded very good. I know many of us probably don’t think and/or treat ASR as an ’integrated amp’ but still want to share my experience with you.
It's a bit out there but I had a spec class d integrated from Japan in my system and it was great. Very valve like.

Also  what about Modwright
Ok. What do you suggest instead? Integrated amp if us possible. Telling the truth i listened Gryphon Diablo and was very dry...
marten's accuton ceramic drivers will expose any leaness or brightness however small that lay in ur system chain

i have coltrane 3 speakers and went from sia 25 to sm 011 monos to different brand valve monos. I think solid state will always sound a bit dry and lacking with Marten - or it has in my experience.
Analog Domain integranted amp is another choice....has anybody listened with Martens?
Hi folks,

today i had a session in a shop with my source, my speakers and Gryphon Diable 300. The detay was massive but overall the ambient was drier than macintosh valve sound. It coul be the room, so i will try at home next week.
I own Vitus RI100 and auditioned Gryphon at a friend's place. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend either one to anybody. The amps on your short list are all very capable. It'll be a matter of personal preference IMHO. I'd add Boulder 865 onto the list if I were you.

Happy Listening!
You're talking about some very high end diverse integrated amps, will you have a chance to audition any or all of them? That Diablo sure is some eye candy btw!
I would select either of the pass labs Intergrated amps for your speakers.

Changing from the ma2275 they would have some warmth and smooth sound that you might miss.

I have never heard anything that Vitus makes but I know they should be very good.

Best of luck to you,

Kenny.
