Best connection between Auralic Aries G2.1 streamer and PS Audio Directstream dac?

The Wel Signature AES/EBU cable is a nice upgrade over the Wireworld. I am enjoying my new sound. 

I found the AES/EBU connection much better sounding than USB between my Auralic Aries G2.1 streamer and PS Audio Directstream dac. 

USB is the best connection barring using I2S.  I have tested the Directstream DAC with several streamers and have settled on USB.  Easy to do side by side comparisons.

I got lucky and will be getting an Audioquest Wel Signature AES/EBU cable for between my Auralic Aries streamer and PS Audio Directstream dac. I am very excited. 

The Auralic does not do I2S but my Perfectwave transport does. I may go wild and upgrade my Wireworld Platinum Starlight 7 HDMI cable from Perfectwave transport to Directstream dac to an Audioquest Dragon 48 HDMI if I can get a good deal. As for the Auralic to Directstream I may wait to find a second hand Kimber Kable KS 2120 AES/EBU cable. In the meantime the Wireworld Platinum cables are quite nice. I may just keep the Wireworld on the Auralic but maybe the Dragon 48 for my Perfectwave/Directstream.

I used to own a Aries G2. You have a pretty good cable. While possible to find a better one… you might not. I’m not sure if you are looking for an upgrade you might look elsewhere, or start thinking at components.

not sure auralic supplies it... most would say usb might be second best given it is often galvanically isolated
