Best A/V / Stereo Processor

I am interested in music and DVD movies, and need to decide on a high-end processor which will excel at both. My choices are limited by budget to either the Parasound AVC-2500 or EAD Ovation, with perhaps a Lexicon DC2 there aswell. Which of these processors is the best, overall? Or indeed, would another processor be better? Many thanks for any advice/opinions.

Why don't you look at a Used DC-1 with all the bells and whistles. You can get one from a dealer with the new EX-software upgrade for $1500.00-$1700.00. Lexicon ran an excellent trade-in (3,500 buck I think) for anyone wanting to upgrade to a MC-1. The DC-1 was a $5000.00 piece of Equipment.
The ovation simply sings with both DVD and stereo sources. It is also beautiful in either finish. I was not as impressed by the parasound. The lexicon is a good deal, but no 24/96 capability.

You might look at theta casa nova as well (it is modular like the EAD, so you don't have to spend all your money up front)
