The "M2" means it’s a series 2 medium output. That is one behind the current series which is the "S" series with a more advanced stylus profile. The analogous model in the new series would be the "SM". I started my vinyl journey with a Glider L2 (the low output version series 2), and man that was a sweet little cartridge!
Benz Micro Glider - How can I Tell Which Type??
I inherited a high-end stereo system and I’m trying to pin down something. The cartridge on the turntable is a Benz Micro Glider, but I have no idea how to determine which type it is: SL, SM, S2 L, S2 M. In the images of these that I see online, there is no differentiation visually. I see "M2" on the front of the cartridge.
