Benchmark High Res Playback


I have a non-USB Benchmark DAC1 that I would like to use to begin playback of High Res downloaded files from online services like HDtracks. Is there a way to accomplish this by burning a CD or DVD and using the Benchmark DAC via an external transport?
Will the Benchmark handle the higher resolution files or modify them for playback? I am confused about the capability of this unit and the way it deals with such files? Thanks for anyones input.
