Whatever point you use, brand, geometry or material should come into direct contact with your concrete floor..Most all points under weight will pierce the carpet and become direct coupled to the greater mass below. Anything in between the point surface and the concrete will decouple acoustic transfer and actually allow your speaker to walk on the surface in between..So much for phase coherency and dissapation of resonant energy out of the enclosure..Tom
