B&W 803D3 + DB1D vs 800D3

Looking for opinions from you all.

I‘m using 803D3 with a listening area around 300 square feet. I want to boost the low frequency for my stereo system.

Considering either adding DB1D subwoofer or upgrading to 800D3.

I suppose the DB1D room eq software is easy and straightforward to blend it with the front speakers.

Please give me your opinons and experience.

Many thanks.

Two or four subs, not one, is the way I’d go.  The Swarm might be the most cost-effective change you could make.  Best of luck.
Try a single sub first (the DB1D is my dream sub). IF you can find the "magic spot", then no need to clutter your room with three more (I have such a spot in my room). If you can’t dial-it-in then look at adding more boxes. Good luck and Season’s Greetings!
+1, dweller. IMHO, two subs are more optimal in a 2-ch setup. I never felt the need to add more boxes in my 15’D x 30’W room.
