This has to be ditched. Audiogon has been a great place to buy and sell in a fluid, dynamic manner. These proposed changes will suck the life out of the site. And it will probably ultimately drive business to ebay.

Audiogon has always valued the feedback we get from our members. The more important the topic, the more essential this feedback is to us. Thus, we are extending an invitation to our members to use our new Offer System in its current Beta form.
We have prepared a special Test Area where you may post listings (for free), submit offers on those listings, and manage these activities in a special MyPage. These listings will only be visible in the Test Area.
